Survey shows nearly three-quarters of holiday shoppers plan to buy from small businesses

In a sign that independent local businesses are attractive to shoppers, a Bankrate and YouGov survey shows that 72% of holiday shoppers plan to purchase from a small business in person or online during the holiday season. That marks an increase from 65% who said the same last year.
