On Feb. 16, 2023, a Banner Health sign remained at the edge of the Whispering Rock subdivision on Willow Creek Road in northeast Prescott. A groundbreaking occurred at the site in January 2020, and the sign appeared about that time. Nearly five years after the idea of a new Banner Health hospital in Prescott began circulating in the community, local officials say the timeline for the project is still uncertain.
