Chino Valley’s Town Council discussed increasing the mayor’s term from two years to four years, and about the need for more workforce housing for town employees during a special meeting Nov. 8, but did not vote.

The Chino Valley Town Council has voted to approve the final plat for 10 lots on the Del Sol North Minor Subdivision and another final plat for 10 lots on the Del Sol South Minor Subdivision.

Chino Valley Mayor Jack Miller won re-election, John McCafferty will get his first full term and newcomers Sherri Phillips and Bob Schacherer will join the Town Council after their election day victories Aug 2.

Adults in Chino Valley who would like to run as a write-in candidate for mayor or council member in the town’s Aug. 2 Primary Election must file nomination papers no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, June 23.
