Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) dispatch center has seen a significant increase in 911 hang-up calls since 2022. The numbers have doubled some months and the amount continues to grow.
In total during 2022, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) responded to 2,943 calls of nature associated with an average two to three deputy responses, and 517 calls associated with an average of three or more deputies.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the home of YCSO Lt. Daniel Raiss after one of his adult daughters called 911 reporting a family fight.
Three people were injured in an Off-Highway Vehicle rollover accident Wednesday at about 9 p.m. at the five-points intersection off Big Bug Mesa and Poland roads in Prescott.
At approximately 7 p.m. on the evening of Friday, Aug. 26, 74-year-old Donna Gordon of Yarnell was stuck by a vehicle and killed on Highway 89 and Post Road in Yarnell.
Just before 7 p.m. the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 9, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle rollover accident involving five high school-aged occupants on Walker Road near mile marker 1.5 in Prescott.
Early Thursday morning, July 21, around midnight, Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies and criminal investigators, along with Coconino Sheriff’s Office and DPS, responded to the scene of a shooting in Ash Fork off Cooks Trail. The 911 call stated two people had been shot.
