John Broughton and Mary Lou Broughton (nee Bockelmann) were married at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Addison, Illinois, on March 27, 1971. They moved to Prescott Valley in June 2002. Mary retired as a buyer from Jefferson Smurfit Corporation, formerly Container Corporation of America, and John retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly AT&T Bell Laboratories, where he had been a software developer, course developer and instructor, and document writer.
