U.S. Flag retirement – A bin has been placed at the Mayer St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store (open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday) for worn U.S. flags. They will be collected by American Legion Post 122 and retired with dignity. If you have a flag ready to be retired, please take it to the thrift store.

It will be a spaghetti dinner and servers are needed.

Dec. 14 & 15 will be the Open House by Mary Magill at 20200 E. Cholla Drive in Cordes Lakes. This will be from 1 to 5 p.m. and the entire house will be decorated, many rooms featuring Mickey Mouse. Please bring a donation for Mayer Meals on Wheels of cash or nonperishable food items.

Flea Market and Bake Sale will be held Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Visitor’s Center at the Junction. It is held by the High Desert Heritage Museum, with bake sale proceeds going to the Cordes Lakes Community Center. This is a great time to get a head start on your Christmas shopping.

Today, the City of Prescott and Yavapai County welcome home the men and women of Arizona National Guard Charlie Company 1/158th Infantry from the theater of war.
