A look to the northeast of Prescott Valley on Tuesday morning, Aug. 21, reveals thunderclouds over Mingus Mountain and lush weed growth. The weather forecast from meteorologist Curtis James, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, for this week shows monsoon rainfall in the Quad-cities ranging between 7 and 12 inches so far this year. Likely weather for the coming week through the weekend indicates more thunderstorms, including isolated severe storms, the possibility of flash flooding, winds of 10 to 20 mph, with high temperatures around 84 degrees.
