In 2013, the Humboldt Unified School District made the decision to pursue full-system accreditation through AdvancEd. This meant that in addition to maintaining accreditation at Bradshaw Mountain High School, we decided all district schools would enter the process of accreditation.
Because of an ongoing issue with its heating system, Bradshaw Mountain High School will be closed on Wednesday, according to Humboldt Unified School District Superintendent Dan Streeter.
Teacher shortages in Yavapai County this year were better than last, but there are still 38 positions that were not filled, meaning that schools have had to get creative about filling positions, including the use of long-term substitutes, larger class sizes or using technology to provide course material.
In his first year on the job, Humboldt Unified School District Dan Streeter has earned accolades for his leadership, his ability to foster collaboration with staff and community members and to move the academic agenda forward.
