Neil Wadsworth and the Prescott Valley Utilities Department are always looking forward with efforts to improve the town and maintain its water and sewer flow, said Prescott Valley Town Councilmember Marty Grossman, noting that the department is always doing updates to keep the models current.
Manufacturing runs businesses, said Prescott Valley resident Patrick Burdell, stating that if a town only has retail businesses, it doesn’t have any of the jobs that create more sales tax, nor does it have the jobs that pays for better housing.
The Town of Prescott Valley has now been funded for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 as the town council voting to approve a 2016/2017 budget not to exceed $82.2 million with only one council member voting against passage along with no public comment.
May 17, 2017 was scheduled to be the date for the citizens of Prescott Valley to vote on whether or not a property tax would be implemented to fund a public transit system.
Prescott Valley officials affirmed in April the way police will use their portion of a half-cent sales tax increase that went into effect at the start of this year.
