Matthew Ackerman (above, right) got a bachelors of science degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1980.He has more than 20 years experience in sustainable planning and design and he was the first architect in the county to earn the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) professional accreditation.Jeffrey Zucker (above, left) got his degree in architecture in 1972 from Ohio State University and spent five years working under Paolo Soleri as project architect and construction supervisor at Arcosanti.Zucker began working in the field of sustainability and energy efficient design in the early 1970s.Brett Soldwedel/The Daily Courier
