Water, firemen, sun and fun came together Sunday in the annual Fireman Hose Cart Races. According to Sharlot Hall Museum, the hose cart race tradition originated in 1884 when three hose companies dealt with fires in Prescott. The rivalry between the three was fierce, and they would compete to be the first at fires whenever one would occur.
