Living in the border states of California and Texas inspired retired executive Bob Greninger to take an interest in his neighbor to the south. Greninger, 67, said he has enjoyed a "tremendous affinity" toward Mexico, and has traveled extensively there and throughout the world. He also has volunteered for about 15 years with Heart to Heart, which delivers medical supplies and materials to developing countries and provides disaster relief.
