In mid-September, the Prescott Valley Police Department’s Animal Control Unit received a call for a possibly injured great horned owl located at a local business, according to a news release. Animal Control Supervisor Tim Yogerst responded to the location, Yvonne’s Pet Grooming, to assess and pick up the owl.

A 10-year-old boy crossing the road on his bicycle was injured Sunday night, Oct. 18, during a hit-and-run with a sedan making a right hand turn on a red traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 69 and Glassford Hill Road, according to a report from the Prescott Valley Police Department on Monday.
