Chris McAvin (Maco), was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Kathleen Louise Clarke and Donald Wesley McAvin. After two years of battling poor health, he passed away Sept. 2, 2023, in Prescott, Arizona.

Chris went to Palmer West Chiropractic college and graduated in 1986. He then started his practice in Lihue, Kauai where he stayed until 2004.

Chris loved life, working in the yard, his 49ers, surfing, camping, boating, and most of all his many Fender guitars.

He is survived by his wife Isabelle of Prescott, his daughter Hannah, sister Maureen (Jim) Feeney of Reno, his stepdaughters Cindy (Manuel) Crain of Prescott Valley, Kristy (Cris) Bunao of Kapaa, Hi, his grandchildren who he loved dearly, Lyndsey, Cassie, Larissa, Kyara, Taylor, Courtney and Kennah, and great-grandchildren Raegan, Kamari, Kaiden, Caleigh, Capri, Camryn, Talia and Teuila.

He will be missed by so many friends and family.

Per his request there will be no service, but his ashes will be spread at a later date.
