Prescott Valley Police investigating Monday shooting incident involving two men

The Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) is investigating a shooting incident between two men that occurred mid-morning on Monday, Sept. 11.

One individual has been transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center East for air evacuation to Honor Health Hospital at Deer Valley in Phoenix, officials said. The other individual is in custody.

Police temporarily closed the area of Tani Road and Navajo Drive/Highway 69. The area is now open and there is no further danger to the public.

No police officers were injured during the incident or during the apprehension of the suspect, the town reported. This incident is under investigation and no further information is available at this time.
