Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) has joined the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to mark Child Passenger Safety Week from Sept. 18 through Saturday, Sept. 24.

The week, which culminates with National Seat Check Day on the 24th, also involves the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The administration works to enhance enforcement and public visibility of child-passenger safety laws.

PVPD reminded residents about attending its Car Seat Safety Check event from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, in the parking lot by Papa Murphy’s and Kohls, 3298 N. Glassford Hill Road, in Prescott Valley.

“Child safety is the responsibility of the entire community,” a PVPD news release added.
