Pet of the Week: Joker (Humane Society)

Introducing Joker! He’s a handsome 5-1/2-year-old American Pit Bull / Terrier Mix who’s been with us off and on since May 2021!

He originally came to us due to the health of his owner and was adopted a couple of times but brought back because of reactivity to other dogs, so he needs to be the only dog in your home — which is great because it gives you both more time to do things together, like going for walks and hikes, which he loves to do, and to play fetch and just hang out.

Joker is a little shy at first and it may take him a while to warm up, but once he does he’s your new best friend. He walks great on a leash but can get easily distracted and is learning how to correct. He’s a sweet boy who is uncomfortable in a shelter environment and needs a home of his own where he can feel comfortable and learn new things.

He’s going to need a patient adopter who is willing to give him the time and space he needs to adjust and feel home! He would enjoy being with someone active who can give him the physical stimulation he needs.
