Chino Valley High School awarded their boys and girls soccer teams their state championship rings on Friday, Nov. 4, in front of a small but feisty crowd on a cold night at the school’s football field. Both teams won the 2A state championship last year during the 2021 season. The recognition came during a halftime Ring of Honor ceremony in an alumni game. The boys team won the state championship game again this year and the girls placed second, but they have not obtained the banners or rings yet for this year’s boys state championship team. Athletic Director Matt Dunn said he was glad to recognize the players because they did a great job. (Stan Bindell/For the Courier)
