Lois (MiMi) Martin Blankenship; Born March 8, 1917, Heaven waited 104 years for former Prescott, Arizona resident, Lois (MiMi) Martin Blankenship to come home, December 2, 2021.

Lois is survived by her son, Robert Martin, CA, & daughter, Judy Martin, RI; three grandchildren: Dawn Martin, CA, Jay Martin, RI, Hillary Olinger, RI, and four great grandchildren, Grayson and Maryn Olinger, RI, and Ailiya & Ceanne’ Greaves, Australia.

Lois enjoyed a 30-year career devoted to teaching dance to the children of Rapid City, South Dakota, at the Lois Martin School of Dance.

She was revered by her students and eventually given the honorable title of Pioneer Dance Teacher in the city’s historic annals. Lois and her husband retired to Prescott, Arizona in the early ‘80’s.

She continued her teaching in the Trinity Presbyterian Church and eventually headed up their children’s program. She further added to a staggering collection of original, children’s music, stories, poems, and Christian materials celebrating her deep faith.

Her final years were spent in Rhode Island, enjoying the company of her great-grandchildren and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Russell N. Martin; her second husband, Cletus Blankenship; her son, James R. Martin and her granddaughter, Heather L. Greaves.
