The Chino Valley wrestling team produced solid results during the Mile High Challenge wrestling tournament on Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, and Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley. As a team, the Cougars finished in the middle of pack, placing 13th out of 27 teams with 70 points. On the boys side, Hunter Lane placed sixth, Matt Davis placed second and Dakota McMains also placed second. For the girls, Jade Sanchez placed second, Katie Richards placed fifth, Ali Estala placed fifth and Sophia Kafen Mattos placed sixth. (Chino Valley Cougar Wrestling/Courtesy)
