Prescott seeks applicants for numerous boards and commissions

The City of Prescott is seeking applications from citizens for more than a dozen city boards and commissions.

A city news release reported that the City Council Subcommittee on Appointments is seeking applications for boards and commissions including:

• Acker Trust Board – five vacancies for terms starting in March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

• Art in Public Places Committee – five vacancies for terms starting March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

• Board of Adjustment – three vacancies for terms starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• CDBG (Community Development Block Grant) Citizens Advisory Committee – seven vacancies for terms starting March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

• Fire Board of Appeals – three vacancies for terms starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Industrial Development Authority – two vacancies for terms starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Library Advisory Board — seven vacancies with terms starting March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

• Parks and Recreation Advisory Board – five vacancies with terms starting March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

• Planning and Zoning Commission – four vacancies with terms starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Prescott Preservation Commission – three vacancies with terms starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Public Safety Personnel Retirement System – Police – one term starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Public Safety Personnel Retirement System – Fire – one term starting March 2022. Must be a Prescott resident.

• Tourism Advisory Committee — five vacancies with terms starting March 2022. Need not be a Prescott resident.

The news release notes that members are appointed by the Prescott City Council upon recommendation from the Council Subcommittee on Appointments after a review of applications.
