City of Prescott Household Hazardous Waste Collection online registration begins Feb. 14

The City of Prescott will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection for City residents from March 7 to 25 to allow residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous items.

Materials accepted include, but are not limited to, insecticides, pesticides, gasoline, car batteries, drain and oven cleaners, bleaches, CFL and Fluorescent Light bulbs (unbroken), oil (five-gallon limit) and latex paint (20-gallon limit), stain thinners, sealers, adhesives, non-alkaline batteries and old mercury thermometers. Empty containers and dried paint cans should be placed in your regular trash cart.

This is a curbside pick-up event for residential utility customers only, no services will be provided for commercial businesses.

Pre-registration is required to participate. Residents can call 928-777-1116 or register online at prescott-az.gov for this service beginning Monday, Feb. 14. Collection will begin Monday, March 7.
