MatForce, Yavapai County’s substance abuse prevention coalition headquartered in Prescott Valley, will host an in-person program suited to educators, parents and other community members related to helping those they encounter cope with their life struggles.

On Thursday, Sept. 15 in the Prescott Valley public library from 3 to 4:30 p.m., MatForce will host “A Conversation on Depression & Suicide.” The featured experts will be Stacey Gagnon and Gina Courtois, who will help identify warning signs and navigate conversations around these mental health issues. The two will offer tools to “help understand and respond to some of the risky behaviors that we witness in others.”

Registration is requested but all programs are offered at no cost.
