Obituary: Jeanette Irene Stinson
Jeanette Irene Stinson, 82, passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada Wednesday, August 25, 2021. She was born Saturday, February 25, 1939, in Flint, Michigan to the late John Edward and Viola Florence (Meyer) Buell.
She moved from Flint, MI to Casa Grande, Arizona as a young child and graduated from Casa Grande High School in 1957. She moved to Phoenix, AZ to attend Nursing School. She used her Nursing knowledge and skills throughout her life to help others.
She volunteered her time and kind heart to countless organizations including donating over ten gallons of blood and platelets.
She moved to the greater Prescott, AZ area and 1981 began working at the Prescott High School. During her time there she worked in the janitorial department and later worked as a Paraprofessional in Special Education.
Jeanette enjoyed working with many special needs students. She was both hard working and generous.
She will be missed by many family members and friends. She is survived by three daughters, Nancy E. (Vijay) Potumuthu, Kathleen S. Hood, Karen M. (Reed) Miller, one son, John W. (Tonya) Maltbie; brother, John E. Buell, sister, Carol Felch; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Jeanette was proceeded in death by her husband, James K. Stinson, former husband, G. Dean Maltbie and brother, Gerald Buell.
A viewing will be held for Jeanette at Ruffner Wakelin Prescott Chapel, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 8th at 11:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott, AZ with a Graveside Service to follow at Heritage Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
