Goldwater, Granite Basin among lakes experiencing fish die-off

Granite Basin Lake, pictured on Sept. 23, 2021, is among four lakes in the Prescott National Forest that have experienced fish die-off. In part it is the result of lakes getting low, then filling quickly from rain runoff — adding carbon and decreasing the oxygen levels in the water, Game and Fish officials said.
