Philip Daniel Bybee passed away peacefully at his home in Dewey, Arizona, at the age of 90. He was surrounded by his children Carla Hernandez and Michael Bybee. He was born December 12, 1930 and left us November 2, 2021 to join his loving wife Betty Sue and son Blake Bybee who both proceeded his passing in 2017. He was born in Prescott, AZ and graduated from Prescott High School.

After serving in the United States Air Force he furthered his education at Arizona State University and earned Business degree. He later continued his education at University of Arizona getting his masters degree in guidance and counseling. He began his teaching career in San Simon Arizona where he taught for 7 years before moving back to the Prescott area. He taught at Bradshaw Mountain High School for many years as well as coaching and counseling his students whom he adored.

After his retirement Philip remained a valuable asset to the community spending countless hours volunteering with the Yavapai County Fair Association, Kiwanis Club, Rocky Mt. Elk Foundation and Yavapai Downs.

He enjoyed the outdoors immensely. Fishing and hunting all over Arizona, and of course his beloved garden out back were his passions!

Philip is survived by his children Carla and Mike; four grandchildren, Jason Hernandez, Bryan Hernandez, Daniel Bybee, and Jessica Bybee; and seven beautiful great grandchildren.

Phil was a blessing to the community that he served and will surely be missed by all. A Celebration of Life will take place December 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Prescott Vibes Event Center, located at 6200 N. State Route 89, Prescott, Az 86305.
