Briefly: Shoes from the Shepherd registration required for July 31 event

The Prescott United Methodist Church is sponsoring its annual “Shoes from the Shepherd Back2School Event 2021” program to benefit low-income families from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 31.

This is a by-appointment-only distribution of Target store gift cards on the church campus at 501 W. Gurley St. Families who wish to participate so as to buy new back-to-school shoes for their K-12 students must fill out an online registration that will provide them a pick-up time.

Children must be present for the event.

Grand reopening set for Chino Valley Taco Bell/KFC

The Taco Bell/KFC in Chino Valley will hold a reopening ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, according to the Chino Valley Chamber of Commerce.

They are inviting the public to be a part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony and to go inside to see the remodel. They will have a drawing for a bicycle and other items to be given away.

The restaurant is located at 1147 Highway 89 near the Safeway.
