PVPD asking public’s help in finding missing resident

The Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) announced in a news release that it is asking for the public’s help in locating Brian Harris, 38, who was reported missing by his mother on Friday, July 16.

Harris’ mother stated that he went camping alone on Sunday, July 11, and indicated he wanted to go somewhere cooler and higher in altitude.

Harris has not been heard from since and his mother believes he may have gone to the Big Lake area southwest of Springerville, or somewhere around Flagstaff.

Harris is a white man, short buzz cut, brown hair, blue eyes, 5-foot-7, 140 pounds and normally wears glasses. He drives a 1983 brown and white Chevrolet Suburban, AZ CRZ-8112.

Harris suffers PTSD from two combat tours in Iraq. He is believed to be armed, but has not been involved in any crime.

If you see Harris, please contact PVPD or the area law enforcement agency. Refer to Case number 21-3507.
