Anniversary: Samuel and Regina (Jean) Mondello celebrate 70 years
Samuel Mondello and Regina (Jean) nee Englert of Prescott Valley were married in Chicago, Illinois, on Dec. 2,1950. They have five children, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The couple could not celebrate their 70th anniversary due to COVID, so their family devised a virtual surprise party with the help of modern technology, complete with a life-size reproduction of their wedding picture. On Dec. 2, 2020, the couple was deluged with cards, emails, texts, video messages, FaceTime, phone calls and a slide show of 600 Vintage photos from friends and family. They have lived in Prescott Valley since 2003, where they founded and presided over the Tri-City Table Tennis Club from 2004 to 2010. The club is still active at the Prescott Valley Moose Lodge.
