Robert W. Anderson

Bob Anderson, 77, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 3, 2021. He is survived by his son, Daniel and daughter-in-law, Liz of California.

Bob was born in Denver, Colorado. He attended military school as a young man. Upon graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country in Vietnam from 1961 to 1966. After an honorable discharge, he worked in sales until his retirement.

He was a life member of the Scottish American Military Society and a founding member of Local Post 1297. He was also a founding member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 2316 and he served as Camp Commander. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 541 in Prescott.

He was a true gentleman, friend, father, proud veteran, storyteller, historian – a kind and honorable man. He loved to dress in period Western attire and hold court at The Palace, telling stories and talking about history. He never met a stranger, and loved chatting with folks. He will live in our hearts forever and be missed by all that knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Palace, his favorite place, on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021. The restaurant will be closed for public business and this is a private event, so please email bobscelebration21@gmail.com for details if you would like to attend. All COVID protocols will be followed.
