Town Council to consider accepting CARES Act money for public ‘micro transit’
Three-year, $3.6M pilot project could determine if long-term plan is feasible in Prescott Valley
A micro transit services is a form of demand-responsive transport. It can offer flexible routing and/or flexible scheduling of minibus vehicles. Micro transit providers generally build routes to match demand and supply and extend the efficiency and accessibility of the transit service. The Town of Prescott Valley staffers have recommended that the town accept CARES Act money for regional transit, which would allow them to hire a transit administrator for managing any micro transit service program.
