Surrounded by loving family, Paul Jeffrey Newnum went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 5, 2020. He was welcomed into heaven by his father, Pete, and his brother-in-law and best friend, Steve Rucker.
Paul was a loving and dedicated husband to Cindy, a devoted son to Pete and Della, a caring brother to Marla and Scott (Leah), and a kind and attentive father to Brigette, Mark, Brian, Erin, and Elysia. He adored his 11 grandchildren and great-grandchild. He was a good brother-in-law, uncle and cousin.
Paul was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene. At a young age, he learned that he enjoyed working on automobiles and spent the next 50 years as a mechanic. He was very hard-working and generous, a good friend and neighbor, often lending a helping hand to others.
Paul married Cindy nearly 28 years ago in a beautiful ceremony at Camp Pinerock, Prescott, a place that had been dear to them since childhood. They settled in Prescott Valley in 1995.
Paul will be remembered as a kind-hearted and strong man with a gentle spirit. He loved his family immensely and will be deeply missed on this earth.
Memorial service will be held at Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86301, on Jan. 23, 2021, at 1 p.m. Masks and distancing.
Paul’s family wishes to extend their gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love and support during these difficult times.
