The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for alternating lane closures on north- and southbound Highway 89A south of Jerome from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7.

Motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes while the following restrictions are in place:

• Highway 89A will be narrowed to one lane only with alternating north- and southbound travel near Potato Patch between mileposts 335-337.

• Flaggers and a pilot car will direct drivers through the work zone.

The closures are needed for crews to complete guardrail repairs.

ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around personnel and equipment while the work is being performed.
