Yavapai County Administration Building shut down in wake of threat from former employee

A public notice sign was posted outside the Yavapai County Administration Building in Prescott on Monday, April 19, 2021, that reads, “Out of an abundance of caution for Yavapai County residents and county employees, this building is currently closed to walk-in public traffic.” On Monday, administrators received a “threat” from a “former disgruntled employee,” and announced a five to 10-day closure of the building.
