Arizona Gives Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6.

More than 1,000 nonprofit charities across Arizona are eligible to benefit from the generosity of those in their community who wish to support their favorite local charity. Donations can be a one-time gift or the start of a planned giving program.

Since 2013, the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum has sponsored the Arizona Gives program that has raised more than $23 million for nonprofits statewide.

Local charities hope that residents take advantages of this opportunity to support the many philanthropic endeavors offered in this community for the area’s most vulnerable individuals and families.

Area nonprofits support an array of social services from low-income housing, transitional shelters for veterans and homeless families, senior citizen meals and transportation, animal welfare, mental health services, food pantries, the arts, school supplies and other resources for those in need.

And more.
