The Prescott Valley Police Department will be giving away books for teens and children at the outdoor Civic Center stage Wednesday Sept. 16 from 3 to 5 p.m. (PVPD)

The Prescott Valley Police Department will be giving away free new books for teens and children at the outdoor Civic Center stage located by the Prescott Valley Library. This community event is scheduled for from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16. There will be some novels, activities and Star Wars books.

"We look forward to you coming by and choosing some exciting books for your children," PVPD said in a news release. "In addition, you will have an opportunity to meet some of our Police Officers and Community Services Officers. We also have information on teen and child safety available for your education. We are committed to helping you keep your children safe in our community."
