Roberta I. Schoenberg

Roberta I. Schoenberg, “Bobbi,” passed away on November 21, 2020.

After spending 85 glorious years with us on this Earth and endlessly finding ways to help others, she will be able to Rest in Peace, knowing she has countless friends who have been blessed with her help.

Born in Michigan in Sept. 1935, she grew up on a large farm, which started her love of horses.

When vacationing throughout the West after WWII with family she experienced many rodeos and ranches.

She moved to Arizona in 1966 to the Mesa area, loving to be in Arizona, but when moving up to Prescott in 1999, now she was really at home.

Roberta always went to every rodeo event possible, but she also found a special love for gathering donations, of all kinds, for the Navajo People. She arranged countless journeys up to the Reservation to deliver supplies and gifts and made it known these came from many other people, she’s just the delivery gal. She so loved the lifestyle of the Navajo Nation and riding horses especially there whenever she could.

Her youngest son, Bradley, preceded her to Heaven in 1987 and she is survived by her oldest son, Richard Schoenberg.

Her wishes will be taken care of by Heritage Memory Mortuary, with cremation and final resting at the City of Mesa Cemetery, in Mesa, Ariz.

There will be a memorial service at a later date and notification will be provided in this newspaper.

Information provided by survivors.
