Watch: Governor, health officials share COVID-19 updates, March 19
Governor Doug Ducey, Arizona Department of Health Services Director Dr. Cara Christ and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman joined Sunset Elementary School faculty and volunteers and Cartwright Elementary School District Superintendent Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor Thursday to distribute meals and help amplify information about where Arizona kids can access free meals during school closures.
After distributing meals, the Governor, Dr. Christ and Superintendent Hoffman held a briefing to discuss the latest information on COVID-19.
Earlier this week, the Arizona Department of Health Services issued updated guidance related to dining establishments, child care providers, nursing homes, and additional social distancing measures. The guidance, which aligns with recent recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recommends canceling or postponing gatherings of 10 or more people.
