District: Flooding possible in Yavapai County

The Yavapai County Flood Control District is expecting widespread heavy rainfall this evening through Friday morning. This will lead to increased flood risk. The Rimrock area along Wet Beaver Creek and the Cornville area along Oak Creek are two areas that the National Weather Service is predicting that might experience water at flood stages.

It is not recommended to drive this evening as road conditions will be hazardous and many low water crossings will be flooded. PLEASE do not risk driving through these low water crossings endangering you, your family and first responders.

Residents in low lying areas should be aware of their surroundings and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves, their families, and property.
