This month the Prescott Valley Police Department will resume its Coffee With a Cop opportunity for the residents of the community to interact with police personnel in a casual, non-threatening environment. The event will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at Back Burner Family Restaurant, 8400 E. Long Mesa Drive.

Coffee With a Cop is in its fifth year where police officers are engaged with residents over a free cup of coffee on a monthly basis. Discussions range from casual topics to serious subjects, which would likely not be talked about in other settings. The concept of community policing is a strong part of Chief Steven Roser’s methodology in keeping our community safe.

There are often other leaders of Prescott Valley who also attend these gatherings. There is a proverb that says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

Through these community gatherings, we all grow stronger. The public is invited.
