Obituary: Jayne A. Swope

Jayne A. Swope, 82, who has spent several decades as a resident of Prescott, Arizona, as well as spending many years supporting her husband Richard’s military career in various assignments, passed into the arms of her husband 20 days late to their 50th anniversary. Jayne was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grand-children, friends, and various nieces and nephews of which she adored! Jayne was born in Sidney Center, New York in late 1937. Jayne was never one to sit around, and was a valued member of the Yavapai Cemetery Association, assisting up until last Memorial Day, with the functions for Memorial Day. She was a proud member and supporter of the Prescott Women of the Moose and Red Hatters. Jayne loved to cross stitch, play cards, watch Investigative TV and volunteer! Jayne was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard. She is survived by Verna Swope, her 102 year-old mother-in-law. She is also survived by her sons Keith, Kevin and Vance; daughters, Deborah Koen and Joyce (Linn) Buckner; and 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and Mr. Smokey (her loving sidekick for the past many years).
