Good Samaritan Society holds bazaar, bake sale
The Good Samaritan Society, Prescott Village is holding its annual Christmas Bazaar and Bake sale starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
Located at 1030 Scott Drive, the bazaar has special and unique gift ideas, antiques, holiday housewares, decorations and baked goods with all proceeds going toward the organization’s activity department to better serve its residents.
Wildlights and Animal Sights begins
Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary has its annual Wildlights and Holiday Sights every Friday and Saturday evening beginning Friday, Nov. 29, and running through Saturday, Dec. 28. Held from 6 to 9 p.m., the event features festive holiday decorations and spectacular light displays.
Held at the zoo, located at 1403 Heritage Park Road, there will be light concessions available with items such as hot cocoa and coffee. Admission is $5 for Heritage Park Zoological Members and $8 for nonmembers.

Prescott Writers talk efficiency
Science fiction author and writing instructor Chris Winder is set to be at the Prescott Writers meeting, hosted by the Professional Writers of Prescott, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Winder’s presentation, titled “How to Become a More Efficient Writer,” will take a look at different organizational methods authors can use in order to write faster such as preparing outlines and using free writing programs like Grammarly and Scrivener. It will be at the Prescott Public Library, 215 E. Goodwin St.
