Police seeking unique items stolen from Cornville home
Missing items include $6,000 bronze skeleton statue

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) is asking to public to help locate a number of valuable items stolen from a Cornville home in early May.

Deputies responded to the home located on Waddell Road on May 8 and completed a burglary report involving stolen artwork and other property.

Some of the more unusual items reportedly stolen were several spheres made out of various materials and a 3-foot-tall bronze statue of a skeleton, YCSO reported. The missing spheres include one made of meteorite valued at $2,500 and a one made of petrified wood valued at $600. The 30-pound bronze skeleton is anatomically correct and in a dance position.

In addition to this artwork, the victims indicated several air powered tools were missing. They include:

  • An angled-head Makita Grinder with a 4-1/2 cutting wheel
  • A 1/8-inch Straight Die Grinder from Harbor Freight
  • And two ¼-inch angled die grinders from Harbor Freight

Also missing was a black, hard-case Epiphone acoustic guitar with a tan face.
