Jacqueline Joy Kohler

Jacqueline Joy Kohler, 91 years, of Chino Valley, Arizona, went into the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 23, 2019, at the Marley House in Prescott.

She was born in Elgin, Illinois, to Harold C. Brammer and Emma C. Rakow on June 24, 1927. She attended Elgin High School graduating in 1945, she went on to Sherman Hospital School of Nursing, graduating, June 10, 1948. Jacqueline, married the love of her life, George E. Kohler, June 23, 1949, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Elgin, Illinois. They made their home in Chino Valley in April 1978. Jacqueline continued with nursing at the Prescott Veterans Administration Hospital until retirement.

She enjoyed sewing, homemaking, cooking, traveling, and time with her family and loved her horse, Jim.

She is survived by her daughter, Sara Pitts (Paul); her son, Doug Kohler; her grandchildren, Tena Pitts, Becky Comstock and Ginger Pitts; her great-grandchildren, Tim, James, Bella, Noah, Alyk and Charles; and many, nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, father, Papa and Great-Papa, George E. Kohler; her sister, Joan Johnson; and brother, Bruce Brammer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, 2 p.m., at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, AZ. The family requests donations be made to American Lutheran Church Children’s and Youth Ministries. Arrangements entrusted to Hampton Funeral Home.
