Rants & Raves: May 12, 2019
Got something on your mind? Tell us about it in 40 words or less.
— Regarding Roger Fairfield’s letter outlining Trump’s sociopathic tendencies including being a pathological liar; the Washington Post recently announced a milestone of documenting the 10,000th Trump lie or fabrication since he took office. America is not great again.
— Memo to that “Rants and Raves” complainer about paying for online Courier access: News gathering/reporting isn’t free. It’s free online aggregators (The Drudge Report), selling ads, stealing newspaper stories, that kills newspapers, which cost money to produce and distribute.
— The recent letter complaining about too many Courier pieces on “Save the Dells (he calls them rants) is sad. It shows his ignorance of Open Space, the reasons for zoning, annexation, private property rights, the City Council’s responsibilities, Prescott’s heritage.
— It took 10 minutes to find someone in Cal Ranch then she had no idea what I was talking about and sent me to Olsen’s where the girl also had no idea what hoof trimmers were. Ignorant and slow, that’s Prescott service. I ended up where I should have started buying them online.
— Lemonade the State drink?! I think not. However, that an 18-year-old is interested in the legislative process, I’m not sour about that.
— Why is the city starting roadwork on White Spar when Haisley and Senator Highway are still closed? This could be a fire safety escape issue for residents in Haisley and Hidden Valley, not to mention an inconvenience.
