Class of 2019 largest Yavapai College graduating class
Commencement takes place Saturday, May 11
More than 230 Yavapai College graduates, the largest number on record, will participate in the spring commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in the Performing Arts Center at the Prescott Campus, 1100 E. Sheldon St.
Keynote speaker, Prescott Mayor Greg Mangarelli, as well as the college’s faculty and staff will address the graduates. Others include Dr. Matt Pearcy, Yavapai College Faculty Senate president; and graduating student Kaylee Berisford.
The ceremony, honoring those who have completed their degree or certificate program, is the first under the tenure of Yavapai College President Dr. Lisa Rhine who joined the institution in February.
Overflow seating is available for invited guests in the Walraven Gymnasium, where a large screen will livestream the ceremony. Graduates and their guests are invited to a reception immediately following the event.

Yavapai College has six locations in Yavapai County with campuses in Prescott and Clarkdale, and centers in Chino Valley, Sedona, Prescott Valley, and near the Prescott Airport.
Prior to the Prescott campus ceremony, the Nursing Pinning ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Commencement exercises on the Verde Valley campus take place Friday, May 10, at 6 01 Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale.
