Bradshaw Mountain softball rolls to 23rd victory

PRESCOTT VALLEY — The 4A No. 6-ranked Bradshaw Mountain softball team pounded Deer Valley, 16-0, in a run-ruled five innings on Friday, March 29, as starting pitcher Jacie Hambrick tossed a three-hit shutout and notched 12 strikeouts.

With the non-region win, the Bears upped their overall record to 23-1, including 9-1 in power-point games. Deer Valley dipped to 1-6.

At the plate for Bradshaw Mountain, Shelby Dilcher led the way, going 3 for 3 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Hambrick was 2 for 4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.

Madisen Duryea (2 for 4, double, three RBIs, run scored), Caitlynn Neal (RBI, three runs scored, two stolen bases) and Kirsten Schmidt (double, RBI) also contributed.

UP NEXT

Bradshaw Mountain plays another non-region game at 3:45 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Washington (3-4 record in power-point games) in Phoenix.

Deer Valley hosts Estrella Foothills (4-6) at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in Glendale.
