A Chino Valley Police Department cruiser collided with a 2012 Toyota Camry on Highway 89 Wednesday morning, March 27.

A Chino Valley Police cruiser was involved in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 89 and Road 1 North at about 7:27 a.m. Wednesday, March 27.

The officer was driving northbound on Highway 89 in a fully marked patrol vehicle when a 2012 Toyota Camry turned in front of him from Road 1 North, according to the Chino Valley Police Department (CVPD).

The officer was unable to avoid the Camry and collided with it. No injuries were reported, the CVPD said. The crash then caused another collision between a 1996 Kenworth Tractor Trailer and a 2012 GMC Sierra. No injuries were reported in that collision either, CVPD said.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) responded to investigate the collisions.
