Prescott Job Fair set for March 27 at Yavapai College
The Yavapai College Regional Economic Development Center (REDC) is one of the sponsors of the Prescott Job Fair being held at the Yavapai College Prescott Campus in the Walraven Gym, 1100 E. Sheldon St., Building 2, on Wednesday, March 27, from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
Military veterans, individuals 55 and older, and job seekers with disabilities may take advantage of early admission starting at 3 p.m., according to a news release.
Attendees will learn the latest information about careers and employers that are hiring. Apply for part-time, full-time, temporary, or seasonal jobs and meet with representatives from business, healthcare, nonprofit, and military organizations. Professional attire is strongly recommended.
Exhibitors include Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Drake Cement, City of Prescott, Chino Valley Unified School District, Printpack, Residence Inn by Marriott, and Fann Contracting.
“Bring your resume and be prepared to meet your next employer,” Yavapai College REDC Programs Specialist Katherine Anderson said, adding that “job seekers, do your homework before you arrive at the job fair.”
A complete listing of businesses attending is available at www.yc.edu/redc.
“Surprise the organizations in attendance with your knowledge, and that you took the initiative to research their company before meeting them face-to-face,” Anderson said.
The March 27 job fair is one of a series in which Yavapai College participates. The next will be held on Wednesday, April 3, at the Verde Valley Fairgrounds in Cottonwood from 3 to 6 p.m.
