Due to wet fields, Bradshaw Mtn. softball competes in Haught Invite Friday, Saturday
PAYSON — With the fields at Rumsey Park being too wet for play on March 14, Bradshaw Mountain’s softball team will compete in a condensed, two-day version of the annual Gracie Lee Haught Invitational Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.
Bears coach Sharon Haese said tournament games will be shortened from an hour and 40 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes so that all of the contests can be completed.
In the pool-play round on Friday, Bradshaw Mountain will face Snowflake at 11 a.m., Joseph City at 12:30 p.m. and Sunnyslope at 3:30 p.m. at Rumsey Park. Bracket play follows on Friday night and will most likely begin at 5:30 p.m., Haese added.
Bradshaw Mountain of the 4A Grand Canyon region owns an unbeaten record of 10-0, including a 4-0 mark in power-point games and a 6-0 tally in tournament contests.
